J-Doll - Picasso St West Review

**WARNING: I've taken pictures of this doll without her clothes on. If that offends you, then please do not scroll down.**

Here's my second J-Doll, Picasso St West! I bought her for $40 off of Amazon. I've taken to calling her "Pica". She was originally the first J-Doll I bought, but she arrived later then Mariya. I absolutely love her pink hair and her face-up. (: When I first saw her I didn't care for her clothes, but now that I have her in person I've grown fond of her attire. It's cute! But I'm still excited to make new clothes for her.

Such a sweet face!

Her shoes stay on better than Mariya's.

Here I've taken off each clothing article one at a time to show you just how layered this doll is!

Not the most attractive underwear. (^^)"

Pullip, Pica, and Cleo from Monster High.
Pica has a Pullip body type 3, I think, and she can fit my Pullip's clothes. But even though it fits, it still looks too big and clunky for her.

J-Doll - Mariya Luiza Review

Mariya in box.
Meet my first J-Doll, Mariya Luiza! (: I bought her for $30 off of Amazon. J-Dolls are pretty much Pullips with smaller heads and are named after streets that are known for high fashion.

With headdress.

I'll edit more later when I have time! I was so excited about getting her that I just HAD to post her pictures now. :D

EDIT: 31 May 2014
Her hair has gotten a little messy. I don't think it's good quality and it's not soft, but it's still very pretty. Her shoes keep falling off and they're loose on her. Maybe if I made her some socks they'll stay easier or she could just go barefoot. You can't see her feet under her dress anyway.

Kurhn - Princess Dragon Review

Princess Dragon's box.
Information about Princess Dragon probably...
I really wish I paid attention in Chinese
class now, lol.

Princess Dragon in box.

Her hair feels soft like real human hair.

Unlike Princess Wencheng, her knees bend.
Her legs are held together by an elastic band.

Princess Dragon's elbows bend and she comes with a flute.

Princess Dragon was $40 on Chinasprout. I wasn't going to get her at first. I was going to wait to see if I liked Princess Wencheng, then order Princess Dragon if I did. But then I thought "Well... I probably will like Princess Wencheng, and I save on shipping if I buy both now". So I bought both, and I'm glad I did. Princess Dragon is gorgeous! I wonder if she's some sort of water dragon. Her box art has coral and her dress reminds me of soft ocean colours. Maybe she's a seahorse. Those are "dragons", right? (In Fruits Basket) It makes sense... but I'm probably wrong, lol.

Kurhn - Princess Wencheng Review

Princess Wencheng's box.
Hello! I just bought two of my very first Kurhn dolls. This first one is Princess Wencheng. I bought her for $35 from Chinasprout. I first heard about these dolls just browsing google images.
Princess Wencheng in box. Her hair was a little messy.

The doll came with  a care guide and a
certificate of authenticity.
I'm not sure what the tiny slip of paper is though.
A fold-out with information
about Princess Wencheng probably.
I can't read it! lol

Princess Wencheng's elbows and wrists do NOT bend.

Her hair is very soft and her clothes are very well made.

Sorry I did not take any pictures of these dolls with their clothes off! I'm really afraid to mess up their hair.
They did come with stands but their legs are too short, they don't touch the bottom. So, I just used my own adjustable saddle stands.
I really love this doll! There's nothing negative I have to say about her. She was the first Kurhn doll I saw that convinced me to try out this doll line. I love her bright, vibrant clothing, her elaborate hairstyle, and her innocent anime-like face. She's my favourite out of the two I just bought. My little sister prefers Princess Dragon though.
I'll be after more Kurhn, for sure, but maybe only the more expensive detailed ones like Princess Wencheng and Princess Dragon.

Pullip - Alice du Jardin (pink version) Review

I recently bought my first ever Pullip doll from pullipstyle for about $100. I've never spent so much on a doll before, I'm so used to the $20 ~ $30 price tag on Monster High dolls, but I think she was worth it. There was also a mint version of this doll available and originally I was going to buy that one instead, but then I saw this pink version and fell in love. I liked the bangs on this doll better -- the mint one's bangs had more of a straight cut -- and I have a thing for dolls with antique pink hair. The mint one is beautiful too though and if I ever have extra money to spare I'll go buy that one as well. I'll make sure to share photos when I do!
**WARNING! I posted pictures of this doll without her clothes. If a naked doll offends you, please do not scroll down!**

Alice du Jardin!
Close up of her outfit.

Isn't she lovely?
Front and back view

The cuffs come off.

Like all Pullip dolls, she has switches in the back of her head that can shift her eyes left and right and switches that can make her blink.

I took off her jumperskirt.

A close up of her dress without the blue jumperskirt.

She has a petticoat underneath her dress and wears white fabric underwear.

Her stockings are uneven. I wonder if it's supposed to be that way...?

I didn't want to take off the bow because I don't know how to tie it back and make it look nice! lol

Body comparison to Monster High Cleo

Foot comparison to MH Cleo. Whoa! Pullip's feet are small!

Pullip's rabbit plushie.

The headband falls off easily.

It's brown, but it's showing up black on my computer. Sorry!

I love everything about her! Her joints are great and I'd love to use her in a stop-motion, but sadly I don't think I'll be able to. Since her head is so big, she falls off the saddle stands that I use for my Monster High dolls during stop-motion. Even sitting down she falls over!
So, now she'll just be a pretty decoration in my room and I'm alright with that. I love her anyway. (:
