Ever After High - Lizzie Hearts Spring Unsprung Dorm Playset Review

I bought this set off of Amazon for $35. I usually don't like dolls that come with playsets because they're cheap-looking most of the time, but I like this Lizzie doll. I don't own Lizzie Hearts' basic doll even though I love her character (she may even be my favourite EAH character), and I probably won't ever buy her basic because I haven't seen any pictures of her basic doll with good hair. This Spring Unsprung Lizzie is better for me since her hair looks more manageable,

Back of the box.

Right away, I LOVE the box! I love the black and white patterns and all the little details.

I'm really liking how these EAH sets fold up into easy-to-store books. The Thronecoming set with Briar folds up into a book too. I don't have the Thronecoming playset, but I did really want it when it came out. It was just all the paperboard in the box that was turning me away from it.

Thankfully, Lizzie's dorm room is plastic, not paperboard.

Lizzie is secured to her dorm by a little bit of plastic around her hair and waist. She was very easy to remove.

She comes with no stand. The dorm room is her stand.

I really hope we can get another set for Lizzie that includes the furniture shown her on the side of her dorm room. She does come with a few accessories though, which I'll show you later.

The picture of Lizzie flips. In case she doesn't want to look at herself? lol. I like having options though.

This is where the ring that comes with this set goes. It looks like it's a ring cushion, but it's hard.

The ring somehow squeezes in there though.

The dorm has what looks like a little desk area that comes with a pull-out chair/throne.

It does not open.

Here's the rest of the accessories. I especially love the box at the bottom. It can fit the cards inside.

Next we'll take a look at the doll.

Since she doesn't come with a stand, I'm using my own. I love her look. These EAH dolls are looking great for being dolls that come with playsets. I never really liked too many of the dolls that came with the Monster High playsets.

When I first saw this, I thought the hearts were flamingos.
Too bad. That would have been cool.

Her hair actually has some pink highlights mixed into the red. I hardly noticed it at first, but I like it. I think it makes her hair look more interesting.

I wish her shoes were painted with a different colour to contrast the red. Also, I'm not sure I like the shade of red. Maybe if it was a bit darker.

Maddie looks taller, but it's because of her shoes.

With no shoes, they're the same height.

What a difference!
Lizzie, like Maddie and Kitty, is shorter than the other dolls (which is another reason why I love her). Next to Cerise, who is the tallest EAH doll, Lizzie looks so small and cute!

She's so short that she can't touch the ground when she sits on her dorm room chair.

Raven's feet touch the ground.

Almost! lol

I'm really happy to have a Lizzie doll!
I like that she pulls off red and gold/yellow without reminding me too much of McDonald's.
I'd also like to mention that I love her joints for stopmotion. She moves very smoothly so I'd love to make more videos with her in the future.

Ever After High - Hat-Tastic Playset and Maddie Doll Review

Hello! It's been a while since I've updated. I recently bought Hat-Tastic Maddie with the playset off of Amazon on sale for $22. I've been wanting this playset for a while but the regular price of $35 was just too much for me since I already have Maddie's basic doll in my collection. I don't want to buy too many Ever After High or Monster High dolls anymore, so I've become more picky about which dolls I get.

If I don't already have a certain character but I really want him/her, then I'll get it at regular price. But I can wait a few months for the prices to go down if it's a character I already have. (: I may just give in for Through the Wood Ashlynn Ella though. She's gort! ...uhm... I mean great. lol d:

Side box art.

I already took everything out and was about to fold up the box when I saw Maddie's art on the side of the box. How did I miss it? It's too cute!

So, first I'm going to show the doll. She does not come with a stand, which may bother collectors that like to display their dolls, but I'm pretty happy about it. I like to keep my dolls in a small side table drawer and if I do display them, I like them sitting down or in some sort of scene setup. I usually just throw the stands away now; I have so many!

Front view.

She's holding a teacup and saucer ring.
The set comes with a ring that you can wear. Unfortunately, it's too small for the adult collector, and it only fits perfectly on my pinkie. (Unless you're an adult that has really small fingers.)

Back view.

Tea bag earrings.

I don't know what her necklace is supposed to be of, but I'm guessing flowers?

Black glove hands.

Clip on bows.

Black netted stockings.

Gorgeously detailed shoes!

Alright, so next I'm going to show the playset.

Everything still wrapped.

Tea cups, saucers, and cakes!

Here's the table with nothing on it yet except the cupcake stand. I'm not sure if the books come off, I remember not wanting to break it if they don't. They were already on the table while I was taking them out of the box. The cupcake stand can come off.

One of the legs is shorter than the others, so it has plates underneath to help level out the table. I thought this was a cute detail.

Without teacup.

The books have little pegs so you can attach the teacups or the tea pot to them.

With teacup.

I added the tea pot on the red book.

Messy papers everywhere.

My cupcake stand is a little lop-sided. I don't know if this is how it's supposed to be, but since it's a Wonderland playset, I kind of like it.

The chair.
The bench.

It opens up.
The bench can open up to fit all your accessories. If you place them right, you should be able to fit everything in here (even the teacup ring).

The bench and the side table tree were what I was most looking forward to!

Side table tree.

Chandelier.

Clock design.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. Especially since I was able to get it so cheap. (: I'm loving the look of all the Ever After High playsets so I'm definitely going to buy more in the future.

I also have the Lizzie Hearts Spring Unsprung dorm room playset and I'll be sure to show pictures of that soon!

Everything all together.
